Hello Everyone!
On time at last, Making tea with an espresso maker, A brief hike, The plants are looking good & A late day storm!
Alright, I am on time with my writing routine this evening... and hopefully I can stay on track with the editing and posting as well. Since I am still not 'armed' with my favorite beverage... we will see how that last bit goes but I did figure out that if I put a few tea bags (with a few scoops of coco atop them) inside the basket of the stove-top espresso maker... it makes for one dark strong drink!
It is one of those things, that I should have done earlier given how much I love making espresso... but when it came right down to it... I did not want to 'foul' my stove-top maker with tea residue. Obviously, I caved on that and one of my justifications was that I have had a terrible time feeling relaxed enough to rest sans coffee... and if making 'tea-presso' helps then I should be all for it.
Anyways, my sleep cycle is still on that weird schedule that I mentioned previously... but today I began wresting it back into a semblance of my usual pattern by getting to bed much earlier than I have been. I did not stay asleep for all that long on my first try... but after getting up and tending to the dogs I zonked back out again for another few hours.
Later, when I woke up again... I forced myself to get outside (aside from having to let the dogs in and out) and did my best to hike around and look at everything. Not that I went all that far beyond the old camp... but just getting out in nature, stretching my legs and looking at plants and trees was a good feeling.
While I was in that area, I also fetched water from the rain barrel there... watered the nearby plants in the greenhouse... and then lugged it uphill to the chicken coop and watered all the flower pots atop the coop. It was pretty tricky being able to reach all the plants... but my foot was feeling 'okay' enough to climb the sides of the coop (and be able to reach everything) so I did it and at long last... I finally got to see what is growing.
Those squash (or pumpkin) plants that I could barely see before are way larger than I though that they were... and there are also lots of smaller ones that have a lot of growing to do to catch up. I am unsure if some of the other plants popping up in the pots are the tomatoes that I planted... but there were at least a few dozen really small seedlings as well as what looks like a random grape vine or two.
By the time that I was done piddling around with the 'hiking' and watering the plants... my foot was in no shape to lug more water to the flower pots near the studio. Right at the end of doing everything I was limping along back to the studio considering watering them... when my brain was like: If it hurts to the point of wanting to get off your feet do not push it and turn what might be a mild temporary injury into a not-so-mild long term injury!
As it turned out, I got back indoors just in time to miss the initial heavy winds that abruptly started... and sent pollen and road dust (in these super dry conditions) swirling everywhere. Not long after that a big storm began forming off on the horizon... and even though the wind eventually died down the storm kept building until just a few moments ago when it began raining.
Well, on that note I am going to wrap this entry up because it is getting late and this storm has the dogs on edge. I hope that everyone is doing well. Ta ta for now.
