Steemit is a probably currently one of the best websites where people are introduced to the Crypto and Blockchain world. Although Bitcoin has been around since 2009, it is not used in the mainstream and sites like Steemit is really assisting more and more people to be introduced to the crypto scene.
I am not a specialist in trading whatsoever, but I really enjoy playing with new technologies and ideas. I have been researching and reading a lot about trading in the crypto currency market and a few friends and I recently started Crypto Investment Fund.
We started with a very small amount of South African Rands, and I guess we are not doing too bad as we are still in making profits on a daily basis.
We did however put a large chunk of Bitcoin into the Humaniq ICO, so anything can happen. Let's hope the price goes up when it hit the exchanges after the ICO :) It is still not too late to get onto the ICO as you still get 25% bonus when you buy HMQ tokens for the next few days.
I have been doing everything manually, keeping spreadsheets of each of the transactions we do. This is to ensure that we know exactly what we are doing, when we get to the point where we automate some of our trading. Please note that I am still a newbie in the trading game, and I am definitely not a person who can provide advice on trading as yet. I can however share my research on what technology is out there and available for trading automation.
A few trading bots
First of all most of the traders in the market uses bots to automate their trading based on sound principles, which they've learned through time.
Haasbot
I was recently introduced to Haasbot, and when I started my research I found this site to top most of the recommended lists on the internet. Haasbot seems to be very popular, and is used extensively. This bot, can even recognise some of the candlesticks, which is then used as an input into your trading, as you can make decisions based on the candlesticks. There is a BTC cost to using this bot depending on the timeframe you subscribe for the service.

CryptoTrader
This is a cloud solution, which is actually wonderful as you do not have to install any software on your device. I hope everybody understand how important it is to work in a very safe and secure environment when playing in the field of CryptoCurrencies. Cryptotrader also allows you the opportunity to engage with various trading strategies in the form of a marketplace, which then gives you the opportunity to purchase a strategy of your liking.
The platform also integrates to most of the popular exchanges, Bitfinex, Poloniex and Coinbase are on the list, only to mention a few

Zenbot
This open-source software platform has been available for a while, but has apparently not been updated for quite some time. The great thing about Zenbot is that it supports the trading of multiple currencies at once and also support high frequency trading. The code has not been updated for a while, but you can download the code from Github.
You can find the code for Zenbot here
BTCRobot
As far as I have read it seems that BTC robot was one the first trading bot out there. This can be a good thing - If the developers learned from their mistakes and iteratively made improvements based on lessons learned. According to the web people are still using this bot extensively and making some profits.

I would love to hear some comments, recommendations and your experiences using bots from the community as a whole.
