I wanted to share this new drawing I finished today with you guys . Sometimes I start with a simple idea, like a morning cup of coffee, and then the scene just starts growing on its own. This time, it turned into a very busy table with two characters who look like they haven’t quite woken up yet
I must admit, my favorite part of this doodle is the little cat peeking over the table. It’s unbelievable how much personality you can add just by having a pair of eyes watching the flowers in the vase. I really enjoyed playing with the warm, peachy tones for the background and the table; it gives the whole piece a cozy, morning feeling that reminds me of a slow weekend moment with family
I tried to focus more on the interaction between the objects and the people this time. There is a lot to look at, from the texture on the large mug to the way the leaves are reaching out across the composition. It’s fun to take a normal daily moment and turn it into something a bit more whimsical and colorful and kid-like
