I was having a hard time expressing my idea to my client, so I did a quick sketch of the shoe and decided on the colors. That wasn't enough, I tried to explain it in words but could not, so I made it so they could see the work before the work I did any work to the shoe.
After adding the red, black and the gold glitter to the sketch, my thoughts are now coming to life, you can see where I'm headed with the shoe and make changes until you are happy with what I present to you.
Let's Get Started
After the shoes are clean and completely dry, we have to prep the shoes to accept the paint. We will be using * Angelus Leather Preparer & Deglazer and Cotton Rounds that you can get from the Dollar Store, Cotton Balls will also work and I recommend Q-Tips for tight places.*
Gently rub the shoe to remove the factory finishing coat. I go over the entire shoe 2-3 times before applying the paint to be sure that I removed the finisher and my paint will adhere to the shoe .
I applied 2 coats of Gold in the case of glitter being chipped from playing sports or whatever reason, the gold color will blend in with the gold glitter and not be as noticeable.
