With the Water Element's power, Link can now create two clones of himself at the same time! This "triple clone" ability is strictly necessary to solve the more complex floor-switch puzzles we’ll encounter from now on.
After strengthening the blade, we had a brief but revealing encounter with the ghost of King Gustaf. He guided us toward our next major destination: the Royal Valley. This area is shrouded in mystery and requires us to navigate a spooky, maze-like forest. Exploring this region was a very didactic experience in patience and observation, as one wrong turn sends you back to the beginning. We had to follow specific signs and the direction of the wind to find the hidden path leading to the Royal Crypt.
The atmosphere in the Royal Valley is quite different from the rest of Hyrule; it's darker and filled with ghosts that we must dodge or defeat using our lantern. Reaching the tomb of the ancient king is vital to find the clues needed to reach the final element. This chapter was a perfect balance between power progression at the sanctuary and the start of a much more somber and mysterious exploration phase. I’m eager to see what secrets the royal ancestors are guarding!
