Have you ever heard of the hero's journey?
It’s a concept which originates in one of the most influential books of the 20th Century.
Many writers and other artists have cited such, the book by Joseph Campbell,
“THE HERO WITH A THOUSAND FACES”.
We see its biggest impact in the work of our last few generations’ most popular movie franchises.
Their success was built mainly on how well they followed this "Heroes Journey", which is laid out in this popular book.
Campbell introduced us to the concept of the 'Mono-myth' in his book. This universal concept explores how we can all enjoy stories, even outside of language or cultural barriers, thanks to our subconscious human mind.
He researched how all myths and stories have this built in,
and how close they project a collective subconscious narrative of our own lives.
This simply places those archetypes in characters and events of stories and this concept is well understood, and even applied in the Hollywood machine.
The filmmakers who all have attributed their works of art to this book include none other than Steven Spielberg, Francis Coppola, George Lucas and George Miller to name a few.
The influence in the 'heroes journey' concept is now an algorithm which the Hollywood executive level utilize when choosing a screenplay.
This algorithm is even accredited with predicting a hit movie and its investment worthiness, as it is used by many of the movie studios. (1)
When applying this 'heroes journey' formula to the movie Star Wars, we can see how it earned its place as the iconoclast to merge art with life, proven in its impact on global culture over the last 40 plus years.
The last 70 years in our own global politics, can be a potential description of a planet which would have easily been a part of the Empire the Trade Federation of the franchise.
2 new books are adding to the insight of the disruption by holly wood and one is political and one is religious!
National Security Cinema: The Shocking New Evidence of Government Control in Hollywood, by Mathew Alford and Tom Secker and a sequel, Shocked by the Bible 2: Connecting the Dots In Scripture to Reveal The Truth They Don't Want You to Know, by Joe Kovacs.
Considering that in Star Wars are the themes which run throughout the series and begin and end with their fictional space politics and religions!
We find the in prequels, a slave child, in Anakin Skywalker”, acting as the hero, I guess. In Anakin we have a child who is born into a gangster government, which views its peoples’ lives as a commodity under Sith ownership, ultimately, Lucas has created a pseudo-Nazi Empire in the villain archetype of the series.
His characters are all most impacted by the political landscape of the Star Wars universe. Without a corporate arm in “The Empire”, the Trade Federation, and the Sith, and their galactic effort to monopolize trade, there would be no Darth Vader.
We only find a reason to need a resistance, when we are against any political and tyrannical villain archetype that arises.
The parallel remains to our worlds own villainous characters as our leadership is guilty of a continuance of incompetence, which ends up with us directed towards a corporate and government marriage, in our leadership, aka Fascism, aka Communism, aka Marxism, aka Tyranny.
The Trade Federation began in the story, from a group of colonies to a fictional space corporate conglomerate, which had risen with a supernatural assistance by the fictional order of the Sith.
A blatant representation of the infamous Nazi inner elite which held a belief system in the occult, the SS or the Schutzstaffel. The SS began as security for the first meetings of the National Socialist German Workers Party.
The basis for this Empire can be seen as art imitating life as our own understanding of Communism and its goals. This government model is established mainly with commerce laws which are in fact much older than we know, and in place in our global trade and commerce to this day.
They are known in real life as Admiralty law or Maritime law.
