The second coming of Jesus Christ will be the fulfillment of His promises and to accomplish the prophecies made about Him. Jesus Himself promised, "At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn.
Matthew 24:3-28 bring to light the happenings to proceed prior to the second coming of Christ and everything in our era point to the fact that indeed, the second coming of Christ is so near. When He first descended, He came as a Lamb, redeemer, Bread of Life, Stream of Living Water, Counsellor and so forth to get the world back on track to God. How useful has His death and resurrection been to you? In less than no time He'll come again. He's descending with His rewards to reward as according to our deeds on earth. What are your deeds and are they in line with God's Word? He won't come as a Saviour in His second coming but as Judge. Let's amend our ways and be right with Him so that our reward won't be the lake of fire where there's gnashing of teeth and unbearable sufferings.
Revelation 19:15-16 says, "Out of his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. 'He will rule them with an iron scepter.' He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS." We need change our ways so that the second coming of Jesus Christ will have a positive impact on our lives.
