"Did I turn the oven off?"... is probably not what this goat is thinking so hard about. Maybe something along the lines of "how am I going to get down now?" is closer 😉
That goat, many other farm animals and lots of wilder ones are resident of the Omega Park. Located one hour from Ottawa and slightly more from Montreal, it is a treat for the whole family. We visited today and were blessed with the sunshine all day; it was hot but manageable.
Farm animals are one thing small children will love, but you also have deer, boar, buffalos, wolves, caribous and bears (black and brown).
Seeing the wolves in particular is always amazing. They just look so... "doggy"-like, but then you remember they are behind a fence because they would devour all other residents 😝
This is a park you visit by car, with deer, boars and others roaming freely. I like zoos like these when animals have large spaces to wander about and where it is only local (Canadian) residents. No fancy zebra here!
Also, while driving there we first wanted to stop to buy some food in Montebello... Approaching the city gave us the reason why so many hotels around were full. It was the Rockfest and there were queues around shops to buy essentials for such events, that is beer of course.
So we had to eat at the park. It's ok but it's much (much) less expensive to bring your own food... Of course, I know 😑!
Anyway, still a great day with the family!
