BIG NEWS
Block mountain has announced their primary lineup!.... AND I WAS CHOSEN!
So stoked for the opportunity this presents. As part of being chosen I am suppose to answer one question.
What does Block Mountain mean to me?
Opportunity.
There are a lot of ways I can describe what Block Mountain means to me, but this word sums it up the best. A lot of people think of opportunity as a job, employment, etc... But to me, Block Mountain is so much more than that.

a set of circumstances that makes it possible to do something.
Some years ago a set of circumstances made me stop rapping. I didn't touch a microphone for quite a long time. Then Steemit came along and really showed me I can do this. I got on Steemit and started hustling, grinding, and relearning my passion: music.
After some time, I have started feeling that I was just spinning my wheels. I have support from some amazing people, but I still just felt like it's not going where I want it to go... Then the Block Mountain came along. They started talking about doing some real projects, studio recordings, getting artists set up for success... Opportunity
I feel like all I need is opportunity. More than just an opportunity to show other people what I can do, this is an opportunity to show MYSELF what I can do. I have never before been given such an honor and opportunity as this and it's truly revitalized my entire outlook on what I'm doing. I know that I CAN do this, and with the opportunity Block Mountain has presented... I will.
Thank you so much and
!! You both are amazing and Steemit would be a much dimmer place without you in it. Thank you thank you thank you!!
A recap of my submissions to Block Mountain
This was my first major piece of music on the blockchain, and was the first song I had written/recorded in almost 5 years. It was for
"Breathe" is a song that I wrote to an animated music video. Once again, I used the video as a reference for a topic. I love topicals, and I think that is my best talent, being able to write about practically anything. I think this talent would come in handy with the block mountain project.

This was a song I needed to write for myself. I had been writing a lot of sad songs around that time. When I write lyrics, they have a really profound impact on my day to day life, my personality, my emotions, etc. When I get in a funk, or feel a little sad, I'll try to write about that in order to express those emotions, but in doing so, I go deeper into the rabbit whole. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it can really get out of hand. This was an attempt to bring myself out of that rabbit whole, and it worked wonderfully :D.
This is a verse to a song that I collaborated with on. I think it showcases my ability to give a constant multi-syllable rhyme scheme while riding the beat and keeping consistent flow.
This is a song that I made around the same time of "Time to eat". Fast flow, multi-syllable rhymes, etc. It showcases my ability to deliver rhymes differently, keep it tight while flowing fast.
This is STILL one of my favorite songs. I produced this all myself and did all the engineering... Not the best mix, granted, but am still extremely proud of this.
