Today is Sunday, and according to the calendar it is the first day of the week, however, in many countries, it is an integral part of the weekend for work and cultural reasons. The weekend is associated with rest and recreational activities, the most religious attend the temples of their faith to share their teachings.
I remember when I was still a child when my mother dressed my sisters to go to my grandmother Luisana's house every Sunday to enjoy a Sancocho, a soup of meat or chicken, vegetables and tubers boiled with firewood on the stove of her humble house. After eating the succulent food that made you sweat, came the fun.

Happy and unforgettable days where we share games and races with our cousins, at that time video games as our children know it, was a chimera. Entering the hammock in the living room and swinging from one side to the other, it was our swing. On one occasion there was an unfortunate accident while I was having fun in the frantic swinging of weekends, with the tip of the foot, an involuntary blow took out a baby tooth from my beloved sister, the crying and the blood sour that moment of happiness.

Play with the insects and butterflies, or spin the wooden Trompo with a string, compete who does the most in succession with the Emboque, or play in the sand with the marbles, or fly kites made of paper and with palm stems of the coconut trees, or simply watch the pigs roll in the mud while the rooster chased the hens in the yard to ride on top of them. Yes ... I had some really fun weekends as a kid.
Every now and then, we would also go down just fifty meters to the beach of Lake Maracaibo to soak in its warm water, but that's a story for another weekend.
