It's been five months since I had the free birthday exploration at Ocean Park Hong Kong, but some photos have not been posted yet. The recent post of Mipiano reminded me of those, so I opted to share some today. If you have enough time, you can check out these blogs taken at Ocean Park HK.
Who are panda lovers here? Ocean Park is probably the only place in Hong Kong to see pandas. So if you visit this theme park someday, make sure to head to Sichuan Treasures and Giant Panda Adventure to see cute giant pandas and other amazing Asian animals. It's easy to locate these places as they are surrounded by small and giant panda statues.

I visited the Sichuan Treasures first, unfortunately, I didn't see any pandas or the giant monkeys, but only the jungle net in the empty chamber.

I proceeded to the Amazing Asian Animals, where the giant panda adventure is located. The place is surrounded by giant and cute panda statues. They truly are adorable, especially the small ones.

As I entered the place, it was the Asian small-clawed otter that caught my attention. It was playing in the water and seemed to want to get something from under the small rock. On the other side is an aquarium with a giant salamander, which I thought was a long rock. It barely moves, and its skin color is truly similar to a rock.
I finally saw pandas in this area. The giant one seemed to have been awake all night, as it wanted to sleep all day. He was sleeping on a huge white rock. Meanwhile, the cute and smaller one seemed to be enjoying his bamboo meal and was so overwhelmed by the food around him that he wanted to munch it all. There were also orange pandas, and they looked adorable too. They seemed to be playing in their house, running and trying to catch each other.

From the giant panda, I proceeded to the next room, which houses different koi fish, goldfish, turtles, and other sea creatures. Each time I see a goldfish, it's always Nemo that comes to mind, although he is a clown fish, lol. Do you do the same?

Before going out, there was this giant panda statue at the booth corner that encouraged visitors to make donations to save endangered Asian animals. The booth also serves as a photo booth for those who want to take photos with the giant panda. Just a statue, though.

Adjacent to it is Club Panda. It's a woodsy cafe in Ocean Park. I didn't visit the place because it might take much of my time. From the place, you could see cable cars passing by overhead. There was also a souvenir shop next to the giant panda adventure, but I didn't enter the place.

Have you seen the world's smallest monkey? The Pygmy Marmoset I saw this while lining up for the rafting ride. This animal taps for tree sap. It would gouge holes in tree trunks and lap up the tree sap and juice. That's the major part of their diet. I saw a man feeding it something using a dropper. That was probably tree gum.

The scarlet makaw, or parrot, is also located near this area. I said to myself that I would go back to this place after the ride to take a closer shot. But it slipped my mind after enjoying the water raft.
Have you seen the panda and those aforementioned animals yet? What was your experience?
