It was a Friday when Ben visited me at the office. These past few days, I've been busy with month end accounting reports so I don't have much time to go out. As kind as he is, he agreed to eat anywhere at my convenience since there are many restaurants nearby the office. I
honestly don't like to dine near my workplace because my mind would process the time as if I'm still in a work mode.
Ben said he just finished a Korean Series, When Life Gives You Tangerines, as now he's craving for Korean foods. I guess that's why Korean cuisine is so popular across the world- because of these Korean series that introduced us to their culture, and of course, the food.
So I suggested this small restaurant nearby our office which sells everything in their menu with melted mozzarella. Adding to their already tastey dishes, every dish is warmed by a pan fueled by butane.
We ordered their cheesy ramen, cheesy chix, and kimchi rice. All these are just good for two!
We didn't expect the ramen to be this huge. We thought that it's just a normal serving. To add flavor, they put 3 slices of spam, an egg, mozzarella cheese, and some green aromatics.
The kimchi rice does have a strong taste that I think doesn't go well with the ramen. Next time, well opt for the plain rice option instead.
The cheesy chix is actually a fried chicken with three variants- honey soy, original, and spicy. We chose the honey soy because it complements the cheese the most.
The food taste delicious but what makes it special is the person I shared the meal with. I appreciate my boyfriend for taking time to see me despite his busy schedule too.
That's it for today's blog. See you in my next one!
Sending some love and light
With love, Jane
