These photos took me back to the time when Corona Virus was still on the rise. My family and i loaded ourselves up with lots of vitamin C. Although we do not know what the cure for this virus but we do know that having a strong immune system can help our bodies fight this virus. So we bought a lot of vitamin C tablets and citrus fruits. Of course we weren't exempt from the virus just because we take these immunity boosters. We still got it, unfortunately. But as time goes by, fighting the virus became easier as we already know what to do when we have stuffy nose, or dry cough.
The photo above are seeds from the three citrus fruits that we consume almost daily- calamansi, lemon, and orange. During that time, i was also very enthusiastic about gardening. I attempted to plant these and turned them to seedlings. The method i used in growing the baby roots was the moist tissue paper covered in plastic. It was an experiment i did out of boredom. I knew that the chances of growing a successful tree out of these seeds in close to zero and that the most efficient way is buying a potted plant and grow them into a tree. I remember some seeds did grew but eventually died out because as I've learned, citrus fruits thrive in corners that have a lot of sunlight. In our balcony, direct sunlight coverage is not possible.
Anyhow, i still find it amazing that despite the similarities of these three fruits, there are still differences. I believe that same goes with people, we are all unique in our own being but still connected with one another thru shared culture, beliefs and experiences. We just have to know ourselves better to be right where we belong. ✨
