This photo was taken a few weeks ago in the Glen in Dunfermline. The lady in the image is my grandmother, pushing the pram with her great granddaughter in it. It's been an wonderful experience to see the bond between them grow. My Gran has always been like a mother to me and so it fills my heart to get to see them both together.
I grew up in Dunfermline Town. The Glen is formally called Pittencrieff Park and was given as a gift to the people of Dunfermline by Andrew Carnegie who was born there in 1835. He went on to become one of the richest men of his time after moving to America and creating his wealth in the steel industry. If you ever visit Carnegie Hall in New York or see it in movies, you will now know a little bit about the man behind the famous venue, if you didn't already.
