Today more than ever, the difference is not in knowing more, but in how we can best lead ourselves. I reflect on this, because the more artificial intelligence advances, the more valuable becomes what only a human can do.
Do you know why? Why it is not the technical that will make us essential, it is the deeply human that makes us irreplaceable and unrepeatable. In fact, when we are in moments of great pressure, only we can manage our emotions... It's not who's smarter that wins, but who knows how to stand up. This means that in order to build real relationships, trust is not automated, nor is it put on autopilot, it is built.
It is a world where we all live every day, it becomes more disconnected, and it is urgent to remember that we are human connection, that we must return to the bond between humans, to look into each other's eyes, to choose each other because our survival as a species depends on something profoundly simple and powerful humanity... And here comes the awkward question? ... We are really connected... or just stimulated? Because the more screens we consume, the more stimuli we receive, and we are silently becoming hyper-connected, but emotionally detached people.
Disconnected from ourselves, disconnected from those we love, even from our own responsibilities. An average person nowadays spends more than four hours a day on the cell phone and that's not just time, it's life, they're moments, they're conversations that didn't happen.
And what I am writing about is not a criticism of technology, it is rather a way of using it consciously to learn how to manage our attention, to recover our internal attention, strengthen our bonds and develop the necessary hyper-focus, to act with intention... and when then like that, something powerful happens, we stop reacting to the world and start dirigirlo...es only, one way.
I like to think of the TV metaphor.
There comes a day when we all have the remote control in our hands and we start changing channels, we jump between platforms, we consume non-stop, especially series that catch us more than they should. But there also comes a time when we get tired of the same thing. Then something different happens, we decide to stop and look behind the TV.
It is there, when the real path begins. We stop being part of the herd that is guided by statistics, by stars or reviews. When we look behind the TV we understand, that there is a connection, with an antenna that transmits.
That seeker advances, but it makes him tired, exhausted and without faith, he wants quick answers because he is tired of himself because he already knows that he has been a copy and that there is something beyond that learned identity. And when it is possible to see, when it is understood, the descent begins.
You go back to the remote control, but it's not the same anymore, the control, it doesn't control us, the images are not us, the mirror breaks, and the identity that you thought was fixed as our country, our culture, our history expands.
Maybe what I'm writing about, maybe it's a generational issue, but one thing I'm sure of is that those of us who have lived something, with knowledge, worth and respect, are the ones who really contribute significantly.
Of course, everyone will do it according to their EGO and their soul! You be You? And the explanation, although it is revealing, is according to the filters of the soul of each one.
Of course, what is unique is not distributed. Look for they are looking for you! And you realize that you find that they find you... It's like pushing for the climb, up there is no more than you go, and you have to find...
It's okay to do nothing, turn off the phone, the cell phone and retire, your brain will thank you.
