I have a D850 which means the picture is 45mp to begin with... it's not lot I'm lacking detail and sharpness in the image.
It's not like I could have switched out my 135mm lens for my 24-35mm lens and gotten more than enough of the scene.
WHY
So why use the 135mm and get an monstrous 200mp image?
Why do a 19 shot panorama with the resulting file being 820mb large Raw file?
BECAUSE
- Depth of field
- Compression of the background
- Practice ... i wanted to see if it could be done and if it would work. Tune up those skills.
- And a belief that one day someone will want to print insanely huge prints... but this hope isn't rooted in reality so far.
- Why not... it was pretty easy with my panorama tripod.
Using a 135mm gives crazy depth of field and it compresses the background. But if I back up like 100ft to get the scene in view I'll loose the depth of field at least.
In any case I really should have gotten a shot with the 35mm or the 50mm and shown the difference... next time.
