1- The Irish revenue service has published a manual with guidelines aimed at eliminating the uncertainty surrounding the taxation of crypto transactions. Investors and traders of digital coins, businesses working with cryptocurrency and tax advisors, of course, can now find answers to many but not all of their questions. The notice has been issued at a time when tax authorities across Europe are trying to tap into crypto incomes and profits in the absence of dedicated regulations in most cases.
2 - IN THE strongest public reprimand from Singapore regulators over digital tokens, the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) has stopped an unidentified issuer of an initial coin offering (ICO) from continuing with its fund-raising bid, which was deemed as having broken rules governing securities and futures contracts.
3 - The South African Reserve Bank, the central bank of the Republic, has chosen to call digital currencies “cyber-tokens” because they “don’t meet the requirements of money.
