I stopped by this old boat yard while biking along the lake yesterday, and all the equipment seemed like the perfect subjects for #monochromemonday.
A lot happens at this particular place - from hoisting yachts for dry dock and wintering to dredging. I love places like this, and visiting them on the weekend is perfect because no one is about and I feel free to explore. (I am not brave enough to do the kind of #urbex stuff that does, but I will explore old places that are wide open and in broad daylight!)
This place amazed me. It had tons of heavy equipment for digging and moving stuff, and there were large piles of boulders that must have been dug up.
This is a machine with a house and straps that undoubtedly takes larger yachts out of the lake for servicing or wintering.
The equipment that impressed and intimidated me was the lined up rows of dredgers in different sizes.
How much dredging does an outfit need to do?
There was also a lot of old cast-off Equipment. The place doubles as a junkyard!
There were are some newer sheds and so on.
I also visited another kind spooky yard nearby with stored boats and an old truck.
Okay, I know this is long but I just have to share a few more pictures I captured a few days ago while traveling through farmland.
Okay that is it for my #monochromemonday photos. A huge shout-out to , host of #monochromemonday.
