Last Saturday I also had to go to another restaurant. After finishing up at Señorita Crepuscular, I went to Hojani, a restaurant located relatively close to where I was, also in the city center. This restaurant is closer to the intersection of Vargas Avenue and 20th Avenue, where the entire city center begins, stretching from east to west.
I had always passed by it, but I had never gone in. It's more of a fast-food place. Hamburgers and hot dogs, although they also have other dishes on their menu, and they also sell drinks. I think its location is good. I think that area has changed in recent years. Since I don't go out partying at night anymore, I used to frequent that area more than 15 years ago.
El sábado pasado también tuve que ir a otro restaurante. Después de terminar en Señorita Crepuscular, fui a Hojani, un restaurante ubicado relativamente cerca de donde estaba, también en el centro de la ciudad. Este restaurante está más cerca de la intersección de la Avenida Vargas y la Avenida 20, donde comienza todo el centro de la ciudad, que se extiende de este a oeste.
Siempre había pasado por allí, pero nunca había entrado. Es un lugar más enfocado en comida rápida. Hamburguesas y hot dogs, aunque también tienen otros platillos en su carta, y también venden bebidas. Creo que su ubicación es buena. Creo que esa zona ha cambiado en los últimos años. Como ya no salgo de fiesta por la noche, solía frecuentar esa zona hace más de 15 años.

I arrived a little late; it had already started. That's why I couldn't take as many photos as I wanted. Also, my phone battery was running low, and I had to hurry to take pictures as quickly as possible. Some I couldn't even focus properly; that's the downside of having a low-end phone.
Lusanny Alvarado is the name of the young woman selected by the Miss Mesoamerica organization to represent the state of Lara in the national competition. She spoke with the media present and expressed her enthusiasm for this new challenge. She already has experience in beauty pageants; she has been preparing for this since she was very young. A year ago, she also participated in the Madrina pageant for the Cardenales de Lara baseball team.
After her heartfelt words, a question-and-answer session was held with the media present. The first to ask questions were those from the popular program "La Brújula," which airs on Promar Televisión. Others also asked questions, and then it was time for a one-on-one conversation with the young woman to record and take photographs.
Llegué un poco tarde; ya había empezado. Por eso no pude tomar tantas fotos como quería. Además, se me estaba acabando la batería del teléfono y tuve que darme prisa para sacar fotos lo más rápido posible. Algunas ni siquiera pude enfocarlas bien; es la desventaja de tener un teléfono de gama baja.
Lusanny Alvarado es el nombre de la joven que fue seleccionada por la organización Miss Mesoamérica para representar al estado de Lara en la competencia nacional. Habló con los medios presentes y se mostró muy entusiasmada con este nuevo reto. Ya tiene experiencia en concursos de belleza; se ha estado preparando para esto desde muy pequeña. Hace un año, también participó en el certamen Madrina del Cardenales de Lara.
Tras sus emotivas palabras, se llevó a cabo una sesión de preguntas y respuestas con los medios de comunicación presentes. Los primeros en preguntar fueron los del famoso programa "La Brújula", que se transmite por Promar Televisión. Otros también hicieron preguntas, y luego llegó el momento de tener una conversación cara a cara con la joven para grabar y tomar fotografías.
By the way, she's also one of the current contestants in the DX Off Road. So the DX organizer was there to present her with a certificate of sponsorship and support. While we waited our turn, we enjoyed some delicious snacks they had prepared.
I think this young woman has a lot of potential to win the crown. She's well-prepared, very comfortable in front of the cameras, exudes confidence, and is also very beautiful. She will continue preparing for this competition, which will be held in Caracas, over the next two months. She still has plenty of time to prepare even better and achieve victory.
Por cierto, ella también es una de las concursantes actuales del DX Off Road. Así que el organizador del DX estuvo allí para entregarle un certificado de patrocinio y apoyo. Mientras esperábamos nuestro turno, disfrutamos de unos deliciosos bocadillos que habían preparado.
Creo que esta joven tiene mucho potencial para ganar la corona. Está bien preparada, se siente muy cómoda frente a las cámaras, irradia confianza y, además, es muy guapa. Continuará preparándose para esta competencia, que se llevará a cabo en Caracas, durante los próximos dos meses. Todavía tiene mucho tiempo para prepararse aún mejor y alcanzar la victoria.
