About a month ago I wrote an article claiming that switching from soda to sparkling water is a great way to both lose weight and feel better about yourself.
Since then I've written reviews of several different types of sparkling waters.
If you're making the switch from soda sparkling water it's probably a good idea to go with one of the sparkling waters that come in a can.
There are several to choose from...... but around here the main two companies are La Croix and New York Seltzer..
A couple of weeks ago I reviewed La Croix's coconut flavored sparkling water.
I found it to be pretty good although it did not have a very strong flavor and overall it was a bit over carbonated for my taste.
Last week I reviewed New York Seltzer's orange flavored sparkling water.
It was almost exactly the opposite of the La Croix offering in that it had an extremely strong flavor but it was a little bit under carbonated....... or maybe it had just the right level of carbonation........ but it definitely wasn't overcarbonated like the La Croix.
I found it taste a bit powdery though. So how does the lime flavor stack up to the orange flavor New York Seltzer?
Very favorably.
I find when dealing with sparkling water it's usually best to go with a lime or lemon flavor before you branch out in order to make sure that the company is capable of at least getting those right.
Lime and lemon flavors seem to be the easiest to create good versions with.
There's no exception here.
This lime flavor is 100% on point.
Just like the orange flavor it does taste slightly powdery.
However, it's much less artificial tasting than the orange. In fact, I like it quite a bit.
If you are looking for a good alternative to soda and you're thinking about drinking some sparkling water in a can you really can't go wrong with New York Seltzer Lime flavored sparkling water.
