Yesterday I wrote about the U.S. using eminent domain to steal land from Native Americans to be used for an oil pipeline, the Dakota Access Pipeline, that stretches for over a thousand miles. A 36.75% stake in the Bakken Pipeline Project, which includes the Dakota Access Pipeline and the Energy Transfer Crude Oil Pipeline, is up for sale and pending a cash purchase of $2 billion dollars.
Right? Steal land and sell it for a profit. We are in the wrong business.... if we didn't have souls or morals.
The non-violent protest in North Dakota caused a work stoppage at the construction site by youths getting into the construction area and standing around the equipment. The work stoppage is said to give time for the tribal leaders and officials to work out an agreement. The length of the stoppage will depend on how conversations go. Up to 28 individuals have been arrested.
I don't know about you but I wouldn't trust any contract or treaty that the government signs or pretends to accept. The reality is that Hillary Clinton will probably be our next president. She doesn't honor anything. This is happening because trust was misplaced in a government; a government that doesn't honor treaties or contracts (continuous violations of the Constitution?). The only thing that should be acceptable is that the land is given back to the people who it was taken from, the Rightful owners, and that the rivers that provide nourishment to the land are not contaminated. If a problem happens do you trust the government to clean it up?
Remember the BP Oil spill? Do you think the government let mainstream media run the truth?
The Rezpect Our Water site was set up to promote a Change.org petition that focuses on protecting the rivers and waterways throughout Native American land.
