You are a teacher if you are teaching something to someone.
Today we are celebrating teacher's day. The parents group chat is full of greetings for my son's teacher. Everyone in the group chat is sending a happy teacher's day greetings.
My social media wall, my news feed is full of teacher's day greetings. Almost everyone is posting a picture of their teacher, posting a simple gift for them, posting a little celebration.
Happy teacher's day to all teachers by profession.
Teacher is a person that teaches something. Are you a mother, a father, a grandmother, a grandfather, an aunt, an uncle, a cousin, a sister or a brother who is teaching a little child? You might be teaching a child on how to write a straight line (horizontal or vertical), a slanting line, how to write letters of the alphabet or how to write numbers. You might be teaching a child on how to draw shapes. Someone is also teaching a child to be a good citizen, to be a good person by teaching them how to give respect, how to be kind, how to be generous, how to obey and every habit that someday it will become the child's character. If you're teaching them those things, then YOU ARE TEACHER TOO.
Your mother, your father, your wife, your husband, your sister or brother or anyone that teaches you something or teaching your children also deserve a happy teacher's day greetings.
Happy teacher's day to you.
It may sounds weird but for sure they would be happy too, try it.
My mother is my first teacher and our home is our first school. When I realized it earlier, I then decided to send a message to my mother to greet her.
I said to her,
Hi Nay, happy teacher's day. You are our first teacher. You taught us how to write. You teach us writing through the soil or in the back side of the banana leaves, lol. Thanks for being our first teacher.
She said thank you to me for that greetings and she greeted me too.
I am not a teacher by profession but I also consider myself as a teacher. I chose to resign at work to be a full time mom because I wanted to be my son's first teacher and our home is his first school.
We stayed home for two years due to lockdowns. My son should be in school those years but we were locked in the four corners of our house by the pandemic. While staying at home, I taught my son how to write by teaching him a straight line and slant line at first.
I taught him how to write letters, numbers, shapes and even how to write his name. Before he got to school this year when the face to face classes started, he already knew them.
As of these days, I am starting to teach him how to read.
This post is also an appreciation post to all teacher by profession, you are a hero for all students. To all working mom, who still gave time to teach their children you are a great teacher too. To all full time mom, salute to you, you are the first teacher. To all house husband, who were there for their kids on behalf of their wife, a big thumbs up for you. To all grandparents who is always there for their grandchildren, may God continue to bless you.
To all who is giving their time to teach someone something beneficial in life, HAPPY HAPPY TEACHER'S DAY.
