Monchi, Sports Director of AS Roma, said the club is considering taking legal action after a failed deal for the end of Bordeaux Malcolm failed and the Brazilian moved to Barcelona.
The former club of Malcom, Bordeaux, announced on Monday that an agreement worth 38 million euros was agreed with the Serie A team with only medical and personal conditions to be agreed later.
But shortly after the release of the Ligue 1 statement, Barcelona's interest aroused and the La Liga champions moved to complete a deal worth up to 41 million euros (£ 36.5m / $ 48m) on Tuesday.
Monchi later spoke with Roma TV and said he was frustrated losing the Brazilian in Barcelona despite having met a "full agreement" with Bordeaux for the 21-year-old.
"I am very sorry about what happened, but I think we had a complete match with Bordeaux, and then we did more than that," Monchi told Roma TV.
"President [James] Pallotta decided to make the best possible offer, but if negotiations were an auction, it decided to withdraw him. If someone wants to come to Rome, that's great, but ultimately, if you do not want to come to Rome, so we do not want them.
