When Someone Says To You, "Don't Go."

A friend, Hive account@candydub, and I made this video based on one of my poems. It's called "Don't Go" and the full poem will be published in the upcoming poetry coloring book I am creating with fellow body artist Claudia Sahuquillo.

I really hope we keep making more of these videos, because I loved making this one, and I love sharing poetry in a multimedia way, and this one turned out so, so beautifully. Really, thank you so much to Hive account@candydub for doing all of the filming and postproduction. I have known him for a couple of years now, and his technical work and creativity have grown tons from his hard work during this time <3 LOVEEEEE.

Just a little poem background. I wrote it about my feelings for Hive account@kidpistola in the early stages of our relationship, long before we were official, but I was already super in love with him. One time we were on the phone, and he said, don't go, and I realized in that moment that might be my favorite thing to hear from someone I love. They love you so much they just want you to stay, so they have to say it outloud. From that moment and the feelings I had within it, this poem was born.
