Stop criminalizing workers and tearing families apart. Stop the deportations. Stop detaining children. Stop the inhumane profiteering of privately owned immigrant detention centers.
The borders did not matter to U.S. policymakers and leaders who installed dictators and orchestrated violent coups across Latin America for decades. Borders don't matter to international Capital that moves without restrictions. A U.S. company can loot, control, and extract the bananas or oil in another country without regard to the local or popular democratic will, without regard to the effects on communities and the environment-- upheld by systematic violence and illegal means whenever necessary.
The powerful have no borders.
Stop Deportations! Stop Detainment! Stop mass incarceration and the prison industrial complex!
These expensive and inhumane practices are paid with our taxdollars. Do not be silent. This is state violence. This is mass warehousing of the poor and castelike exclusion on the basis of crazy, ridiculous cultural narratives about "law and order" and re-defining immigration as a crime. Law and order, crime, security-- this is the continuation of racism under its millennial guise. This is a more legitimate -sounding concentration camp system-- what else can we call the immigrant detainment centers along the borders of the affluent West??
