This Monday begins the third consecutive week of rehearsals and concerts, as part of a festival that marks the 50th anniversary of my musical institution, and the novelty has been that we have not been in our usual concert house, in fact the end of March and the beginning of April we have been living in the Central University of Venezuela, specifically in the Aula Magna. For those who do not know it, the architecture of the University is so special that it is considered a small city within Caracas, and the whole complex is the University City.
Este Lunes comienza la tercera semana consecutiva de ensayos y conciertos, como parte de un festival que enmarca el 50 aniversario de mi institución musical, y la novedad ha sido que no hemos estado en nuestra casa de conciertos habituales, de hecho el final de Marzo y el comienzo de Abril lo hemos estado viviendo en la Universidad Central de Venezuela, específicamente en el Aula Magna. Para quienes no la conocen, la arquitectura de la Universidad es tan especial que es considerada una pequeña ciudad dentro de Caracas, y todo el complejo es la Ciudad Universitaria.
In addition to the architecture of the University City, it also highlights the beauty of nature. It is a place full of flowering trees, lots of natural green grass, art and the imposing El Avila mountain in the background, where the clouds lie on its hills. Yes, we have had a lot of work, but being surrounded by these pleasant landscapes makes my days more comfortable and it is good to vary our concert hall and breathe other airs. These photographs are beautiful, and I still don't think they do merit what it feels like to walk the halls of the city. As I always say, the beauty is there, we just have to stop for a moment and look...
Además de la arquitectura de la Ciudad Universitaria, también resalta la belleza de la naturaleza. Es un lugar lleno de arboles floreados, mucho pasto verde natural, arte y la imponente montaña El Ávila al fondo, donde las nubes se acuestan sobre sus lomas. Sí, hemos tenido mucho trabajo, pero estar rodeado de estos gratos paisajes hace mis días más cómodos y es bueno variar nuestra sala de conciertos y respirar otros aires. Estas fotografías son hermosas, y aún creo que no hacen mérito a lo que se siente caminar por los pasillos de la ciudad. Como siempre digo, la belleza está ahí, solo tenemos que detenernos un momento y observar...
