I have decided to start posting a weekly update on my progress toward my 2026 goals here on Hive. It helps me stay on track, and I can realize if I am behind on a goal at any point in time. It's the fifth month of the year so far, and there is plenty of time left in the year. Also, for everyone's note, the Saturday Savers has ended, but the Slothly Savers Club has started in its place.
Progress
Above are statistics that I have gotten from HiveStats. This week is looking a bit worse than last week, and it all adds up over time.
HP
I earned 118 HP earned throughout the week. I am checking this through the difference between the two endpoints on the graph on Hivestats. The numbers are looking great this week, and it's only a bit less than last week.
HBD
I earned 0 HBD this week. With the price of Hive lower, we have hit the debt limit. This means that we will be earning Hive instead of HBD. I won't be able to add to my HBD savings for a while, but the interest will help me towards that goal. When the Hive price is above the debt limit, I'll add to my savings. There isn't much I can do here, but at least that interest will add up. It looks like the APR for HBD savings has dropped to 12%. It was 14% last week, but I kind of expected this to happen.
Conclusion
My progress is looking decent for now. I need around 2% per week, so this week I met that standard. HBD is officially behind where I need to be now. However, without any HBD being earned, it might not be enough if that doesn't change by the end of the year. Other than that, nothing much has changed, and I am just slowly grinding away at my goals. The HBD goal isn't looking that great as I am behind, and I don't think we will be getting HBD anytime soon with the current Hive price. My HP goal is looking great but my HBD isn't. I am not sure if I want to leave it as is, or change some Hive into HBD later down the year. It's too bad to see the HBD APR drop down, but I kind of expected it given the current debt levels for Hive.
Do you have any goals for 2026? What is the progress towards your own goals?
