A big part of Leo Finance’s growth strategy is to collaborate with Web3 projects outside of Hive.
It is super important that all Hive users think about this, and try to develop relationships, skills, and interests with the wider world of Web3.
Why? Because there is:
- Lots of stuff Hive can offer other Web3 users, and
- There is much we can learn from them
It is also much, much easier to onboard someone to Hive if they already understand blockchain stuff, wallets, etc. I find Hive users are sometimes shy about learning things about Ethereum, Bitcoin, Polygon, and all the rest. But there is a lot of great stuff being built on and around these chains (way more stuff than Hive, if we’re being honest).
👑 One of those projects is kingdom.so
It’s a 2D casual farming and crafting game, recently opened up to public Alpha. Its relationship to ETH and Polygon (MATIC) is very simple:
- To buy the game currency (gold), you need to spend ETH or MATIC
- Gold can be withdrawn as ETH or MATIC into your wallet (for a fee)
That’s it so far! They have plans to make their in-game assets into NFTs on Polygon, but everything else about the game is centralized and pretty intuitive for anyone who’s played these kinds of games.
🦁 Leo Finance’s support
Kingdom’s only community system right now is Discord, with some Reddit presence as well. Because it’s Web3 based, and Hive Layer supports both SWAP.ETH and SWAP.MATIC, there’s a big opportunity to help kingdom grow their Web3 user community here on Hive as well.
Imagine making posts about the game, earning Hive and LEO for it, then using some of those earnings to get more gold in the game! Kingdom could also hold contests in-game, with Hive tokens and in-game assets as prizes.
It may even be possible to integrate Leo Threads right into the game as a sort of message board or chat system (don’t quote me there, as the devs have enough on their plates, but you can imagine it!)
Leo Finance has also helped with creating this Hive community, and will be doing some marketing activities with the founders of kingdom. Leo will have an in-game presence in the form of its own kingdom, and we will also be introducing kingdom’s growing userbase to Hive.
