I was thinking about a portrait-size, but I thought a landscape would be better for the pose that I have chosen for today's art blog. 😄 I just copied Terrarion's feature, like the shoulder horn, which I almost did not see. 😆 He also got stripes on the belly and on the tail. For sure, he got fangs too, so I added that up.
- coloring
Base color on the first layer and then clipped airbrushed shading. I added the details on the background, such as the lily pads and some texture on the tree. Originally, the trees would be dark green, but I changed them to brown instead. The shading took my time the most coz I wanted the texture of the tree to really show off.
Final Art
I wanted the environment to be a deep forest type of vibe and little rays of sun coming in. So a lot of glows and airbrush technique were used in the process. I am happy with how it came out! 😄
