Great use for the old carpeting. Spread it out over the area for the garden. It smothers the grass and weeds and makes it just right for planting after easily turning the soil.
Getting good at making thresholds out of 2x6. Plane the edges down. Today is the back door but the threshold is too high for the door to close so just what I always love to do... cut the door down. Especially one with full length glass in it.
Nothing quite like living in a construction zone.
Kitchen is the focus for now. The vinyl planks are in.
Unfortunately the first few I put down I didn't get to interlock quite right. It takes getting used to the hang of it. But it will be okay. Just a little frustrating. No way to fix it now. It is what it is. If I don't point it out to anyone chances are no one would notice. But I can see it.
These dark dark dark brown cabinets are going to get painted. It will make the small kitchen feel ever so much bigger, cleaner and brighter.
A small stainless steel table arrived yesterday. Great for everything. Hot pots, cleans up like a breeze.
