The Metropolitan Cathedral Basilica of Santa Maria del Fiore, or Cathedral of Santa Maria de la Flor (in Italian, Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore) is the episcopal seat of the Archdiocese of Florence, Italy. It is one of the masterpieces of Gothic art and the first Italian Renaissance. It highlights, in a singular way, the great dome, work of Filippo Brunelleschi, an isostatic structure of 100 m of interior height; 114.5 m outside height; 45.5 m outside diameter and 41 m light (inside diameter).
