The town is constantly changing. Many houses are abandoned, others are being remodeled, and still others are simply falling apart. As all this happens, their doors and windows mutate or disappear at their own pace, and I like to periodically document all this change through the doors and windows, which, since I started doing street photography, have been one of my most photographed subjects. I understand that nothing lasts forever, and I also understand that I live in a place where preserving old architecture isn't a priority, but I can't help feeling a certain nostalgia when I see these things slowly disappearing, absorbed by abandonment, neglect, or simply by change...

El pueblo está cambiando constantemente. Muchas casas están abandonadas, otras están siendo remodeladas y otras simplemente están cayéndose, y mientras todo esto pasa, sus puertas y ventanas mutan o desaparecen a su propio ritmo, y a mi me gusta periódicamente registrar todo esto que va cambiando con las puertas y ventanas las cuales, desde que hago fotografía callejeras, han sido uno de los motivos más fotografiados por mi... Entiendo que nada es para siempre, también entiendo que vivo en un lugar en donde preservar la viaja arquitectura no es una prioridad, pero no puedo evitar sentir cierta nostalgia cuando veo estas cosas desaparecer lentamente absorbidas por el abandono, el descuido o simplemente por los cambios...

_{ADDITIONAL TECHNICAL NOTE: Photographs captured with my Nikon D7000 DSLR camera in RAW format, then processed in Adobe Camera RAW for adjustments regarding light, sharpening, contrast and depth... They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape v3.7}
