The Thai community take enormous pride in their boats. Everywhere I have been has immaculately painted boats for fishing and or tourists.
I always find it rather surprising, having owned boats myself I am aware of the trouble of maintaining boats especially to these pristine standards.
Even this small skiff is stunning colours. The upkeep is even more challenging considering they are made from wood. My boats had always been fibreglass, which should be easy to maintain. A wooden boat requires careful treatment to extend its lifespan.
The sound of the beautiful engines 'put-putting' along the waterways as a quaint charm. These engines seem unique to SE Asia, you can get the hum from them in most SE Asian countries.
Of course there is an exception to every rule. This boat could do with a little TLC, but I had to share it here as he is steering the boat with his ass!
