It's 2 Years this month that I joined Steemit, 26 Moons Celebration
Why am I still here on Steemit?
To be honest the 1st year was a No Show, not interested in learning Markdown, already involved with cryptocurrencies, blogging, swings and slides of Social Media, not wishing to become embroiled into another crypto! (Later learned another 2 crypto's, plus a gazillion passwords, nonetheless learning was motivation enough).
Sudden turn-around a year later, my thoughts changed to... why am I supporting platforms where you are learning nothing new? Wasting time on platforms that do not pay (thumbs up) longstanding online friends
kept reminding me to make the change, eventually after discussing with
decided to make a concerted effort.
Blockchain technology, bitcoin, crypto all made good sense already, move away from old technology. Hello Steemit, I'm not searching for a get rich quick system, seeking a nice to be paid for your time, effort, original work!
26 Moons later, more versed in blockchain systems, Steemit held their end of the bargain I am still learning something new every day with no rags to riches story or glory, fun for people who enjoy sharing, meeting people from around the world, learning blockchain, seeing new projects develop, visit new places through the lens of Steemit members.
I thoroughly enjoy the Steemit community!
Requirements of content, for this contest in 'words:
Write at least 150 words on why you are steeming now. We all come for the money, I am guessing, but why are you still here. There is a bit of a glum mood around about the state of crypto, and the price of STEEM. I am hoping for some positive stories about what keeps you Steeming, and where you see things going from here.
Special thanks to people mentioned in the content for the gentle nudge given at the time, greatly appreciated. Yes I should have started when I signed up, I am here now... Steeming my way around!
