10 Photographs used to obtain this panoramic view
Landscape photography using 10 photographs, carefully lined up 'stitched' together into a panoramic view ending up at 40840 px x 2822 px. Snipped in half to present the St Lucia Estuary as seen from the Dune Loop drive in the iSimangaliso Wetland Park. Each half of the picture resulted in pasting them above one another still ending up 20784 px x 6233 px, further resizing for convenience of sharing now 2592 px x 778 px.
My passion of this region reflects in content shared over the past couple of years. To give a better feel of the landscape this collage was meticulously photographed trying to keep the skyline, landmarks as witnessed.
Standing at the exit from Dune Loop elevated slightly, gave an excellent opportunity to photograph the St Lucia Lake behind the hills in top first photo with typical vegetation.
Unique red dunes of Ezibomvini in the bottom photograph to the left, with backdrop of some of the world’s highest vegetated dunes fringing the shoreline on the right hand corner of the bottom photograph.
This stretch of land has sea behind us as we standing on the dune facing inland, the St Lucia Lake lies in front.

Thought for Today:
“I have walked that long road to freedom. I have tried not to falter; I have made missteps along the way. But I have discovered the secret that after climbing a great hill, one only finds that there are many more hills to climb. I have taken a moment here to rest, to steal a view of the glorious vista that surrounds me, to look back on the distance I have come. But I can only rest for a moment, for with freedom come responsibilities, and I dare not linger, for my long walk is not ended.” - Nelson Mandela
** Landscape Photography : Canon EOS 500D - approx. f/5.6 - around 1/800 sec used throughout. Photography 'stitching' done by my husband on photographs taken in 2013 no further adjustments made, re-sizing is a must on our slow internet connection. Where indicated larger view is offered.
