Probably the oldest Orange / Die wahrscheinlich älteste Orange

The history of this orange probably began in Spain in the late nineties of the last century. And actually, this orange is a tangerine, I think, or a clementine. Exactly I do not know it anymore, because it is quite a long time ago that I took this citrus fruit into my office and actually wanted to eat it in between.

Die Geschichte dieser Orange begann in den späten Neunziger Jahren des vorigen Jahrhunderts wahrscheinlich in Spanien. Und eigentlich ist diese Orange eine Mandarine, denke ich, oder eine Clementine. Genau weiß ich es nicht mehr, weil es ist ja schon ziemlich lange her, dass ich diese Zitrusfrucht damals mit ins Büro nahm und sie eigentlich zwischendurch verspeisen wollte.

Why I put the fruit on the shelf and then forgot it for days, I do not remember ... it's really been a while.

Warum ich sie auf das Regalbrett gelegt und dann tagelang vergessen habe, weiß ich auch nicht mehr ... es ist wirklich schon eine Weile her.

When I saw it again after a few days, it was already dried up a bit and so I just left it lying on the board. Other fruits rot, but this one didn't rot. It just dried out and later only the intact shell was there.

Als ich sie dann nach ein paar Tagen wieder gesehen habe, war sie schon etwas eingetrocknet und so ließ ich sie einfach am Brett liegen. Andere Früchte faulen, aber diese nicht. Sie ist einfach nur ausgetrocknet und später war nur noch die intakte Schale da.

I do not know what is still inside this fruit. The tangerine is dry and has almost no weight. She is now about 20 years old, has already changed the office with me 4 or 5 times and always found a spot on a shelf.

Was innen noch vorhanden ist, weiß ich nicht. Die Mandarine ist trocken und hat fast kein Gewicht. Sie ist jetzt ca 20 Jahre alt, hat mit mir inzwischen schon 4 oder 5 mal das Büro gewechselt und immer ein Plätzchen auf einem Regal gefunden.

In the meantime, she is no longer alone - a few oranges or tangerines have been added and also a few apples. But a dried-up apple looks different from a citrus fruit that dries from the inside ... a dried kiwi is really ugly and I do not know if they should be shown publicly.

Inzwischen ist sie nicht mehr alleine - ein paar Orangen oder Mandarinen sind dazugekommen und auch ein paar Äpfel. Ein vertrockneter Apfel schaut aber anders aus als eine Zitrusfrucht, die von innen heraus austrocknet ... eine getrocknete Kiwi ist richtig hässlich und ich weiß nicht, ob diese öffentlich gezeigt werden sollten.

But please do not ask me why I do that - every now and then it just turns out that I'm not eating a fruit and so it stops ...

Fragt mich aber bitte nicht, warum ich das mache - hin und wieder ergibt es sich einfach, dass ich eine Frucht nicht esse und so bleibt sie halt liegen...

So, this dried fruit is about 20 years old and I say it is the oldest intact perfectly dried orange (or tangerine or clementine ...) that I know :)))

Also, diese getrocknete Frucht ist ungefähr 20 Jahre alt und ich behaupte, sie ist die älteste intakte vollkommen getrocknete Orange (oder Mandarine oder Clementine...) die ich kenne :)))
