"The Curse of Vision"
9"x 12"
Tools:
- Deleter Neopiko-Line-3
- FW acrylic ink
- Art-N-Fly alcohol based markers
PROCESS:
I recently received some new fine liners and ink that I ordered, doing some testing to find ink that's more resistant to alcohol markers right now. I've heard good things about Deleter, and they have one of the darkest black inks on the market. (Though for this piece I only used the fine liner, i'll be testing their other inks later)
I was excited to use the new fine liner (yes, excited about a marker) so I didn't do any pencil work beforehand on this one. Starting really loose and messy.
So far so good, I really enjoy the Deleter Neopiko. The ink is still quite dark (though it's not their darkest ink) and makes post process easier when scanned, no feathering problems so it makes crisp lines.
Now to test the alcohol markers and see how the Deleter Neopiko's ink holds up. Starting by filling everything in light colors as always, and then adding darker colors on top.
So far no issues with the alcohol marker picking up the black ink, Now we see how it deals with the blending process.
I blend with a colorless alcohol filled marker then go over one last time with the light color to make the blend look more natural. (I honestly had more photos of the blending process this time but most of them corrupted on me.)
And after an hour or two of blending i'll call it finished.
