...this place is one of the largest Hubs in West Africa, We've got a few places in different countries, and the most unique thing is that Lagos state Nigeria two or three of places like this, making it the the dominant commercial hub in all of Africa.
Nigerians are industrious, the most illustrious and most most connected people in the world, they're deeply rooted in over 90% countries of the world either by marriage or trade, and only dwarfed or affected by bad government, and corrupt leaders who has made sure the country is still stuck in the 1950 in terms of leadership and excellence, but the people itself are top 10 the most business oriented people in the world.
Sadly this is the case, however I don't want to talk about this, I only want to focus on how this place is structured to generate millions of dollars on a daily basis.
The Chinese tech market
The Chinese market dominates this place because the Chinese products basically offers more value for money more than products from places like the UK, US and other countries.
This is why most hubs are actually in liaison with the Chinese. These guys are the biggest suppliers of African markets, and they'll definitely remain like this for a very long-term.
Chinese firms are the biggest firms, and the Chinese tech market in Nigeria generates trillions in dollars on a yearly basis. This place has become that hub because of how it's your one-stop place for tech materials.
You're probably not going any tech product you didn't see here anywhere else, so people aren't buying stuff here because it's cheap, people buy here because it's available, this is why it's such a dominant market.
People from other states taps into this availability to grow their hubs in other places but the truth is that it's never going to be as dominant as this place situated in Lagos Nigeria.
Every tech product I've used and currently used was bought from the place and over the years I've found reliable places to buy stuffs. This place for quite notorious for scams back in the day. Infact 20 to 30% of hustlers here are still scammers, and people have grown wise to actually avoid these people.
Tech & others
Funny enough this place isn't just a tech place, but predominantly, 80% of tech products is their specialization. It's funny how whenever I want to make a very purchase maybe a medication or something, the map directs me to this place.
It's such a big blessing and that's because the ability to find the rarest of product in a country that doesn't product over 80% of its tech or pharmaceutical products is honest a relief. It's sad too because it's shameful that Nigeria has fallen under the pecking order and many business oriented people has taken advantage of this.
It's always a delight to take some pictures whenever I come here, but these pictures are just stop and shoot because you hardly get time and freedom to take pictures in such a security-compromised place. Most of the businesses here are merely taking advantage of the problematic situation created by government, and this always a very dicey topic. What do you think of the pictures?
