Rupali Meshram takes a selfie with her mother after being attacked by a tiger that wanted her goat.
"I am a bit worried about returning to my village so soon after an attack like this, but I am not scared," Rupali Meshram told BBC Hindi.
This brave woman chose to fight off a tiger after hearing her goat cry out in distress.
After being hit with a stick the tiger quickly turned his focus on Rupali where she sustained injuries to her face, waist, legs and hands. Her mother joined the fight as well and also sustained injuries to her face. Her mother saved her life by pulling her inside the house while the tiger was still on the attack.
They were taken to the hospital, but were released after testing and observation.
The photo above was taken ten days after the attack and it shows the women have healed well. No scars were left.
