Hello community, I would truly like to know your opinion regarding what is happening since yesterday (February 22, 2021) in the crypto environment, that the BTC registered a drop of more than 15%, and today it still continues down, and most cryptos follow the same trend.
Well, we know it is a highly volatile market, recently, when it was below 50k, it has also had a big correction, which led to levels close to 40k. But it recovered and set new all-time high prices.
Are we facing a similar event again? I particularly have no idea, and if anyone does I'd love to read it in the comments.
I will give my opinion on this, I think it could serve as a basis for an interesting discussion:
I particularly believe that this uptrend we have had since last year is not over yet, that this upward path will continue for a few more months. I hope I am not wrong.
Every so inclined rise has a strong correction at some point, in any type of investment is something that happens, of course, s more accentuated in the crypto environment, it is one of its main characteristics.
• All of this that is happening will be seen in a good light or quite the opposite depending on one's stance on cryptocurrency investments, i.e. whether we are holding for the long term, or if we are only interested in short term profits. Let's see, I particularly bought some BTC when it was worth 12mil. And so far I have only been able to see profits, but, anyone who bought BTC when it was above 50k surely at the present time might feel a bit uncomfortable at the reality of the price.
However, in all this, I see the following, if they sell at this time, they will have losses, clearly, which will be more or less significant depending on the amount invested, So I see that they could have the following options: "sell at a loss or wait for the bull run to continue ". It could also happen that the price keeps going down, to 30k, or 20k, which I do not know how viable it would be, but it is within the possibilities, and if they do not sell now waiting for the bullish run to continue (and the opposite happens) they would be trapped with the capital until who knows when, to be able to have their money back in full, without losses.
Here I enter with another point that I want to emphasize again, (I say again because I have already mentioned it at other times), every investment must be made consciously, knowing that these events can happen, and this goes hand in hand with not investing money that we can not lose or that we need promptly.
Before all this, I must say that I see BTC as a more long term investment than short term, so having it saved for me has a certain level of security, if I see it that way, long term, because that bullish run comes from the origin of BTC only that previously the corrections have been very pronounced and for a long period of time.
But I often wonder: If BTC goes back down above 20k or 30k, how long will it take to get back to all-time highs? The last big bull run was in December 2017, it took three years for December 2000 to happen again. If this bull run is already over, how long will a next one come in. These are just questions I ask myself, I am not saying that already the bull run ended, but neither the opposite.
Thank you very much for reading me, I would like to know your opinion about it.
