⛵ ⛵ ⛵ ⛵...(Tour of "High Island")...Continued...
[Last time...]
The deep boom of a musket split the night air and resounded down through the lower decks like muffled thunder!
“Bloody hell!” Calatorulmiop exclaimed is surprise as he dropped his peeling knife on the floor, “What was that?!”

[On the Silverton…main deck…]
The boom of the musket certainly roused the crew of the ship! In less than two minutes the Captain stepped up on the main deck…
“Whit in bludy heel is goin’ oan?!” He barked as he made his way over to the main mast, bare feet, a nightshirt and a pair of hastily donned leggings.
“The Seneca Sairrr!” Commander Galligan said as he pointed to the main mast.
There, in perfect alignment, stood three bloody arrows all firmly embedded in the mast…
Smoke still was wisping out of the mussel of Commander Kerrislravenhill’s musket as she stood there. Next to her stood Cockpit Officer Kevmcc, Standing Officer Trayan, Petty Officer Daveks and Able seaman Trautenberk and Kamilla19 who came over for a look.
“What does it mean Sairrr?” Galligan asked, eyeing the three arrows with blood-soaked feathers.
The Captain stepped up and pulled the lowest arrow out of the main mast and examined it…
“Hmmm…blud…an’ thee in a line…” He observed carefully, “Come no closer!”
Turning to the east bank of the river, his eyes followed the tree line…
“Did ye burst anyain Commander?” He asked Kerrislravenhill.
“I shot at movement in the brush Sairrr, I doubt I hit anyone.”
“How shall we proceed then Keptin?” Galligan asked soberly.
The Captain twirled the arrow about in his hand as he gazed at the many campfires of the distant village. Then tossing the arrow over the rail and into the river he spoke…
“We’ll keep th' Silverton anchored haur. In th' morn' Galligan, ye wull tak a boat wi' fower men up-river an' make contact. Ahh hav a letter Ahh wants ye tae read tae th' Chief!”
“Aye Sairrr.”
Worry and anxiety set upon the minds of all who were present. Kerrisl gazed south at the hundreds of fires of the Seneca village as her stomach churned in knots...
