“Is it inhabited Sir?” His First mate asked as he held the rudder of the huge war dhow.
“No doubt it is, but not with anyone I am worried about. We have nearly eighty strong warriors on this vessel, and I intend to take what I need!” Nabil replied sternly.
Meanwhile, on the shore of Comoros, watchful eyes carefully tracked the progress of the distant war dhow…
“That's it mah kind friends, whoever ye ur! Brings her in, brings her reit intae port! Haw! Haw! Haw!"

The bearded Man with the evil eyes watched closely as the big war dhow slowly made its way into the lagoon. Her nine pound guns protruded from her hull like black shadows of ominous power…
“Ah aye, aye, she wull dae nicely!” The man whispered to himself as he watched, “Yoo thaur! Prepare a line oan th' dock! Git some music goin an' some jiggin girls! We wants this tae be a pleasant visit fur them!”

Sally May and Anice sat uncomfortably at the large table in front of the Lord Mayor as the big doors to the courthouse swung open and the two officers of the Scottish envoy from Edinburgh walked in. The Lord Mayor stood and welcomed them…
“Welcome tae Elgol gentlemen! We ur chuffed that ye made it in such guid time! It mist be a veery important matter fur ye tae hav come sae far!”
The two officers of the Royal Scottish Navy removed their hats and tucked them one arm as the shook the Lord Mayor’s hand.
Sally May pursed her lips in tension a moment at she glanced at Anice. There was anxiety and great worry in her eyes and Anice’s heart began to pound as she tried hard to smile back.
“We dae come o' an important matter…” The older of the two men said as he glanced at the two women.
“Please, please, sit doon. Mak' yourselves comfortable!” The Lord Mayor said as they all took their seats.
The same officer turned towards the ladies and nodded, “You ur?”
Sally May straightened a bit as she answered, “Sally May Slane…an' thes is Anice MacCullagh…”
The officer nodded as if to say all things were in order before he spoke…
“Ladies, we hav come with important news…” The older officer started solemnly, “Good 'n' ill, but it must be put tae yer lugs.”
The Lord Mayor glanced at the women momentarily and then with a long deep breath, he folded his hands on the table nervously.
“The Royal Scottish Navy headquarters in Edinburgh has received word a week ago o' astoondin' complexity...” The officer said as he looked down at the table a moment.
Sally May bit her lip and her eyes widened as she reached over and gripped Anice’s hand.
“Aye, aye, please gang oan…” The Mayor prodded.
The officer now look at Anice…”Junior Petty Officer Spinny McCullagh, was found aliff oan Bird Island, sixty miles north o' Seychelles…”
Anice’s eyes opened as wide as saucers and tears poured forth as she gasped and sat back in her chair…
“Och mah Gawd! In the name of the wee man! Urr ye certains?!” She said in a shaky voice.
“Aye. He was wounded in battle, an' is bein' treated at th' British Naval base oan Diego Garcia island.” The officer replied soberly.
“Och mah Gawd! Is he hurt badly?!” Anice asked as she put a handkerchief to her eye.
“He seems tae hav recovered from wounds tae th' chest froms grapeshot, bit th' main concern noo is his een.” The officer replied.
“His een?”
“Aye, he wis foond sun-blinded an' th' surgeon in base has treated him an' has given some hope that he wull regain his sight.”
“Oh, mah puir Spinny! Och thenk ye Sairrr! Thenk ye both!” Anice said as she tried hard to keep her composure.
The officer then turned toward Sally May…
