The captain smiled a smile of relief as watched the three brave sailors scale the rat-line…”A damn braw crew!” He said under his breath.

As Able Seaman cve3 rounded the corner to the lower gun deck, he called out quickly…
“Keptin said to stand down on the gun!”
“Ahh’m gettin' tay lucky!” Standing Officer-Gunner Bitcoinman replied in relief as he leaned the ram-rod against the breech of the sixteen pounder, “A Wild ride at seas as alwas’...whit’s up?”
“One of our longboats just arrived with a wounded officer!” Cve3 said as he caught his breath.
“Which officer is woonded?” Warrant Officer Pocketechange asked with concern.
“I don’t know Sairrr…”
[On la Serpent...]
As Commander Kerrislravenhill and Cockpit Officer Bleujay brought the prisoner Stank up to the main deck, Commander Galligan was already giving the orders to the men to prepare the tow rigging on la Serpent…
“Lieutenant, take Able Seaman Trayan up to the forecastle and secure a strong tow line!”
“Aye Sairrr!” Gratefuleveryday said with a quick salute as he nudged Trayan on the shoulder.
“Canty weekend fur us eh Sairrr?!” Trayan said as Gratefuleveryday led the way to the forecastle.
“Weel dain, keepin' oan top o’ things, Ahh see Trayan!” Gratefuleveryday jested.
“Aye, but will Commander Galligan give us a bad report to the Keptin for the pirates escape?!” Trayan asked worriedly.
“If Ahh ken Galligan as Ahh think Ahh dae, he won’t lay blame loch 'att.”
Trayan’s face relaxed in obvious relief.

Warrant officer Hack took a long drag on his cigarette before unwrapping the makeshift bandage from Petty Officer Tamaralovelace’s shoulder. Coughing repeatedly and dropping ashes on her knee at the same time he spoke…
“Got yerself weel in th' way o’ a muskit baa’ eh Lass?! Haha!” He joked as he undid the bloody wrap.
“Aye…” She said with a sheepish grin, “We sticks together, dornt we noo?!”
Hack tossed the bloody wound wrap in a barrel and took another long drag on his cigarette, blowing smoke across her face without notice...
“Aye, Tammy, wee’s stick together, loch flies oan jobby- Haha!”
Tamaralovelace wrinkled her brow and rubbed her nose with her good arm apprehensively as she watched him bring out his tools.
Hack then took a patch of old sail cloth and doused it with Scotch whiskey. Then he rubbed her wound in a circular fashion….
“Ow!” She muttered softly under her breath.
“Hmmmm….” Hack whispered as he looked closer, “Gally day Lass! Thaur’s nae baa’ in yer arm!”
“Whew!” Tamara exhaled in relief, “Ahh’m left in huir uv a capable hains!”
“Hmmm…” Hack grunted…”Yoo’ll be guid as new in a week ur mair Lass. Ahh’ll hav ye pit oan light duty til ‘en.”
“Ahh'm glad tae be back aboard!!”
Hack took one last drag on his ash-ladened cigarette and then flicked it on the deck and ground it out with his boot…
“Ahh bet ye ur Lass! It coolds hav bin much worse!” He said with a grin.
