Hey everyone that's me, James, hiking waterfalls this past summer in Asheville, NC. This one is of the beautiful Looking Glass Falls in Brevard, NC. What I love about this photo is that it combines 2 of my passions photography and hiking.
So I'm a divorced dad of 7 amazing children, six daughters and a son. My son, the youngest is 12 and my oldest daughter is 31. My oldest daughter is a mom to a beautiful daughter.
So 2017 was the worst year of my life. My wife of 16 years moved out, no gory details needed, and my whole world fell apart. I spent the majority of the year putting my and my children's life back together. A lot of hiking and days at the beach.
Plus hours and hours of soul searching trying to figure out who I was. I spent the last 16 years being a father and a husband. My whole life revolved on working and providing for my Family.
What I soon realized was that I wasn't happy with who I was and what I was doing with my life. I spent many hours on my SUP.
And there many days where I felt that I was literally drowning in self doubt.
So I quit my job of 11 years, a store manager for an upscale grocery store. I hated this job, but they paid me very well and I felt it was duty in order to take care of my Family.
So now I'm building my photography business and working from home as a digital marketer. Spending lots of time with my kids and planning to do lots of traveling. It's not easy but I'm happier.
So what can you expect from me here on Steemit? Well lots of photos of course LOL! Really lots of daily photos! Posts on how I'm growing my home-based business. Stories of my adventures with my Amazing children.
