The other day my daughter Bella and I went for a drive to Manteo, NC to do some hiking and enjoy the gorgeous day! So the day started with this beautiful sky as we pulled out of the driveway. A good omen of what was to come!
First stop was by the old bridge. The sky was perfect blue with wonderful clouds.
Next stop was Fort Raleigh State Park and the cove down by the sound. Where we unfortunately we found this poor dead duck that must have just died and washed up on the shore. Couldn't tell what happened to him, but we took a few moments to bury him.
Next up a short walk over to go exploring behind the Lost Colony Theater.

Next we headed into downtown Manteo to grab dinner at Ortega'z Grill.
This is a great Southwestern Mexican restaurant that was actually featured on Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives for their amazing fish tacos. They are worth the trip. Yummy!
After dinner we took a short stroll along the harbor where we came across this interesting way of defrosting your frozen pizza! LOL 😂
And finished the day going to see Black Panther. Great movie!!🎞️
It was a perfect day and night! It's days like this that make all of the struggles worth it!
