”Words are more than just words—it tells a meaning.”
If there are three words that can describe my life so far, that would be: stressful, memorable, and excitement.
Over the past few weeks, my life has been filled with nothing but stress mostly from academics and household responsibilities.
Two weeks ago, we had our final exams. And the week before that? It’s a hell week! Exams and school projects are all piled up, all due within just a few days. Every day, I kept wishing for it all to be over.
But the thing that stressed me out the most was our research project. Just last Thursday, we had our research defense and believe it or not, we were still writing our paper few hours before our defense. In the end, we weren’t able to defend our paper and now we have to regather our data. Until now we’re still working on it. What a life!
Despite with all the academic pressure, I can still say that my life is memorable. This year is my last year in high school, and it has truly been unforgettable. I tried new things, stepped out of my comfort zone, and was able to explore my capabilities.
I also made new friends and slowly improved my social skills. My life may not be perfect, but it’s filled with memorable memories. I hope to create more good memories with my friends and family—especially as I step into college.
Just by thinking about… in a few weeks, I’ll be looking at myself wearing a toga and a graduation cap. It makes me feel excited! Finally, I can now see my academic hard work for almost 12 years of studying.
But what excites me the most is the new journey awaiting for me. I’m now stepping out of high school and stepping in into college life, where reality exists. I might not feel fully prepared but, but I hope I can overcome all the challenges ahead.
Right now, I feel content with how my life is going. But that doesn’t mean I’m not looking to grow. Even if I feel content, I’ll always keep seeking ways to improve myself.
