Hello, Steemit friends!
I know. Sunday is just minutes away, which means I barely made it for the Saturday Tip installation. I am fully aware of how important consistency is in writing a blog, so my bad. Nevertheless, here it is -- another set of tips that you may (or may not) learn from, whatever tickles your fancy.
Content always has regal relevance in blogging. It is the king, for without it, a blog can never be a blog the same way you take into analogy the existence of a kingdom without a king. How silly would that be, right?
The point here is that in blogging, content is the meat of all parts -- the template is the skin and the title is the head. Taking this analogy, again, you’ve got a body which is a technical microcosm of you. What you have created on your blog is a reflection of your inner you, or perhaps, a segment of the inner you that you want to express to the world.
Because you want to make your blog attractive, the same way you make yourself a magnet for relationships, then it must contain the right ingredients or elements for it to be seductive, appealing and will make your readers tick and want for more.
To create a compelling blog post is to devise a more meaningful substance that, once it’s eaten, can bring satisfaction and even sustenance.

Now, how do you create a compelling blog post that even your enemy can nod and concede to approve your worth that makes him or her realize you’re even better than his or her expectation of you?
Create a headline that makes a non-reader a convert.
It has always been the first rule in news writing, that is, to create a killer headline. It can be something controversial or it can be something helpful. Somehow, the latter has its worth because it can lead to a following. The former, however, can create an impression from the readers about your personality.
Please keep in mind that your blog is a reflection of YOU. What is in your blog is a representation of what and how you are towards things, or life, in general.
Numbers, steps and tutorials are essential.
There are many blogs that contain headlines that start with a how-to that somehow has become cliché, that eventually becomes redundant and reductive to use. But it doesn’t mean you completely avoid using it. You just have to be more creative in adding your own unique signature style.
Using numbers like in 3 Easy Things to Revive the Drive for Productivity, or even guides with tutorials, can make the blog posts more attractive to those who need to learn about certain topics.
Attune the body with the "head".
Using common sense is imperative in writing, as well as in creating a compelling blog post. It follows, therefore, to avoid using a misleading headline so you won’t be accused of misrepresentation.
As a blogger, it is important to attract attention. However, there are a handful whose main reason to blog is to express themselves. In so doing, whether they like it or not, there is a possibility that one individual or a group with similar outlook may relate to what they're trying to convey. Eventually, they would have to include the factor of impressing the readers aside from expressing their feelings and experiences.
Make it about you.
Just like in the Yin and Yang, writing and reading is a two-way collaboration where one cannot thrive without the other. Therefore, establishing your own voice from the get-go is necessary. Write, but write using your voice and personal stamp of identity. Utilize more 'you' and address the readers directly in first-person narrative. People read your stories because they want to hear you talking, not some infringed source you have randomly picked from Google.
What about you? What style do you use to get the creative juices flowing for your blog?
