SE APAGARON LOS ABRAZOS
Se apagaron los abrazos
también se extinguieron los deseos
quedaron atrapados en el pasado
volvemos a la normalidad
a seguir siendo el mismo
sin habernos traido ese calor
que en minutos nos dimos.
Se apagaron en el camino
no pudieron entrar
en el nuevo año
esos gestos de amor
que saltaron a la vista
al encuentro
del uno con el otro
pero en el medio giro
se nos olvidó todo.
Seguimos siendo el mismo
con las mismas cargas
con las incertidumbres
que nos vienen en el futuro
y con ellas nuestros movimientos
para huir o asumir los retos.

THE HUGS FADED
The hugs faded
so did the desires
trapped in the past
we return to normal
to being the same
without having brought back that warmth
we shared in those few minutes.
They faded along the way
they couldn't enter
the new year
those gestures of love
that were so obvious
at the meeting
of one another
but in the middle of it all, we forgot everything.
We remain the same
with the same burdens
with the uncertainties
that await us in the future
and with them our movements
to flee or embrace the challenges.
