My daughter Alessandra is quickly growing up and it has been very enjoyable to watch. Yesterday we were able to get the whole family out to the park near our house so that Alessandra could experience the park for only her 3rd time ever.
Her first two experiences did not go all that great as you can see here:
That trip was awful as she cried just about the entire time. Especially with the slide, for some reason that slide was the bane of her existence!
The 2nd trip she was older and had a slightly better reaction as shown here:
As you can see it still wasn't a great reaction. She still looks pretty unsure of things sitting atop that slide. Now the question becomes...
Would the 3rd time be the charm for her?
The following is a picture journey of our daughter's 3rd ever visit to the park:
The first stop would be at the field for some soccer with brother. This is probably the most she has gotten to actually "run" in her short little life.
After a quick stop at the field, it was time for the main event. On to the jungle gym portion of the park!
The first stop would be the swings.
She tried to climb up in the swing herself but quickly face-planted... so swinging with mom was the order of the day!
Next up would be trying out the smaller slide with mom. This would be the warm-up before the big slide would be attempted solo... as you can see, she still wasn't all that sure about those scary slides.
After the slide was mastered with mom and some confidence was gained, it was time to make her way to the big slide where she would attempt the slide solo...
Full of courage and excitement she made her way to the big slide...
With each step her excitement grew... and possibly her fear as well...
Finally arriving at the top, it would now be decision time. Am I going to go down this slide or am I going to cry for mom and dad to come and save me from this scary slide?!
After some help getting situated from brother I was all set, it was now or never.
Does Alessandra finally master the slide or does she cry out for mom and dad to rescue her?
In thrilling fashion, she conquered that slide like a pro without even so much of the slightest look of concern. She was ready to ride that thing again upon completion!
But first, after all the excitement and activity of the day so far, it was drink time. :)
