Welcome my dear internet travelers and thank you very much for having made a temporary stop in my post, sometimes it causes me to see things without having the slightest information about them and thus start watching the film without having any kind of expectations since I don't know nothing of the same, sometimes this turns out well and other times not so much, the thing is that that was the criterion I used to come across the film “Ánima” that shortly after starting I realized that it was a film Horror. Without further ado, prepare to not understand anything because we are about to begin.
Bienvenidos mis queridos viajeros del internet y muchas gracias por haber hecho una parada temporal en mi post, a veces me provoca ver cosas sin tener la más mínima información de ellas y así iniciar a ver el filme sin tener ninguna clase de expectativas puesto que no sé nada de la misma, a veces esto sale bien y otras no tanto, el asunto es que ese fue el criterio que use para toparme con el filme “Ánima” que poco después de iniciar fue que me di cuenta de que se trataba de un filme de terror. Sin más que agregar prepárense para no entender nada pues estamos por comenzar.

Ánima is a Mexican film that was released this year, directed by Alejandro G. Alegre and produced by Dinamogeno Films, it has a duration of 1 hour and 29 minutes. It is a horror film, the story begins with a man named Samuel who starts a conversation with his brother Ezequiel, however something about this situation bothers him since it does not feel natural, all these suspicions are confirmed when he encounters an identical person to him, that is why they will focus on trying to discover what is happening in that strange place.
Ánima es un filme mexicano que fue estrenado en este año, dirigida por Alejandro G. Alegre y producida por Dinamogeno Films, cuenta con una duración de 1 hora y 29 minutos. Es un filme de terror, la historia inicia con un hombre llamado Samuel quien inicia una conversación con su hermano Ezequiel, sin embargo algo de esta situación le incomoda puesto que no se siente natural, todas estas sospechas se confirman cuando se topa con una persona idéntica a él, es por ello que se enfocaran en tratar de descubrir que es lo que está pasando en ese sitio tan extraño.

The soundtrack has some moments in which it causes some intrigue so it is fine on that part, however at other moments it is only loaded with annoying sounds that are supposed to produce fear but only end up hindering the understanding of the film.
La banda sonora tiene algunos momentos en los que causa algo de intriga por lo que está bien por esa parte, no obstante en otros momentos solo se encuentra cargada de sonidos molestos que se supone que deberían producir miedo pero solo terminan entorpeciendo el entendimiento del filme.

The world building is strange, it presents a context with meaningless things that are supposed to fit together but these end up being a jumble of elements that do not combine correctly, it has many background objects that seem to be important to the plot but unfortunately They are never explored so they only end up as added elements to fill a space and that lack meaning. Another thing that is strange and that does not make any kind of narrative sense are the various changes in the image, sometimes it uses a negative video and other times it maintains a black and white format. Is this used for something? No, it serves no purpose and it seems like they were just experimenting with how many of those weird changes they could add.
La construcción de mundo resulta extraña, presenta un contexto con cosas sin sentido que se supone deberían quedar bien juntas pero estas terminan siendo un revoltijo de elementos que no combinan de forma correcta, tiene muchos objetos de fondo que parecen tener importancia para la trama pero desgraciadamente nunca son explorados por lo que solo terminan como elementos añadidos para rellanar un espacio y que carecen de significado. Otra cosa que queda extraña y que no tiene ninguna clase de sentido narrativo son los diversos cambios en la imagen, a veces utiliza un vídeo en negativo y en otras mantiene un formato blanco y negro ¿Esto se utiliza para algo? No, no cumple ninguna función y parece que solo estaban experimentando con cuántos de esos cambios extraños podían agregar.

The plot does not make the slightest sense, on more than one occasion I thought that the film was a sequel since the explanation of its premise was null and it only continued its path of adding things without giving the slightest information about them, it should be noted that The fact that this thing is included in the horror genre is an insult because it never tries in any way to incorporate a halfway decent scary scene, in fact, I found out that it belonged to this genre while searching for information to make its synopsis . Narratively there is nothing I can say in its favor because it never makes clear what its objective is, the most it gives is a mediocre explanation at the end of the film to try to provide some coherence but it is a crude attempt that ends in a failure loud. The duration is relatively short and despite this it feels eternal, the lack of congruence is what weighs most on it.
La trama no tiene el más mínimo sentido, en más de una ocasión pensé que el filme era una secuela puesto que la explicación de su premisa era nula y solo siguió su camino de añadir cosas sin dar la más mínima información de ellas, cabe destacar que el hecho de que esta cosa sea incluida dentro del género de terror es un insulto debido a que nunca intenta de ninguna forma incorporar una escena medianamente decente de miedo, de hecho, me entere de que pertenecía a este género mientras busca información para hacer su sinopsis. Narrativamente no hay nada que pueda decir a su favor debido a que nunca deja claro cuál es su objetivo, lo más que da es una explicación mediocre al final del filme para tratar de dar algo de coherencia pero es un intento burdo que termina en un fallo estrepitoso. La duración es relativamente poca y pese a ello se siente eterna, la falta de congruencia es lo que más le pesa.

Nothing to highlight, they do things that are incomprehensible due to the lack of information, they are all strangers about whom you never know anything that allows you to know at least the role that said character plays within the film, all this accumulation of errors makes It is the worst section the film has.
Nada que destacar, hacen cosas que son incomprensibles debido a la falta de información, todos son unos desconocidos de los que nunca se sabe algo que te permita saber por lo menos el rol que cumple dicho personaje dentro del filme, todo este cumulo de fallos hace que sea el peor apartado que tiene la cinta.
Ánima is a disaster from head to toe, it can boast of being one of the least coherent films I have ever seen, I am sure that a story told by a 4 year old would make more sense than this thing. It is for all the above that it deserves the painful honor of half a star out of 7, I honestly cannot understand what the hell they were thinking when doing such a strange thing with a total absence of common sense.
Ánima es un desastre de pies a cabeza, puede jactarse de ser uno de ser uno de los filmes con menor coherencia que haya visto, estoy seguro de que una historia contada por un niño de 4 años tendría más sentido que esta cosa. Es por todo lo anterior que merece el penoso honor de media estrella de 7, sinceramente no puedo entender qué diablos estaban pensando al hacer una cosa tan extraña y con una ausencia total de sentido común.
